Summary. This session reflects the debate around sustainable finance from the demand side. What are the needs of citizens and sustainable enterpreneurs and how are these needs connected to the offerings of financial institutions today? In the transition towards more ecological, resilient and decentralized structures, new approaches of sustainable business like cooperatives and social entrepreneurs emerge. Are banks today prepared to respond to the needs of a changing real economy? Risk, return or values: What are the drivers for the debate around green and sustainable finance today? What would be needed for banks and clients to find a common language?
