A problem-solving approach to fuel innovation-led growth
We are pleased to announce that Professor Mariana Mazzucato, Director of the Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose at University College London (UCL) and task leader of our DOLFINS project, was invited by the European Commission, through Carlos Moedas, Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation, to draw up strategic recommendations to maximise the impact of the future EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation through mission-oriented policy.
The report “Mission-Oriented Research and Innovation in the European Union – A problem solving approach to fuel innovation-led growth” is the result of Professor Mazzucato’s reflections based on her research, with inputs through a consultation process with internal and external stakeholders of the European Commission and it provides strategic recommendations on Missions, and how they can be structured in the future European Union Research and Innovation Programme (FP9).
We invite you to read the report here.
The SIMPOL Project is currently funded by the H2020 European grant DOLFINS (no. 640772) in the Global Systems Science area of the Future Emerging Technologies program.
